WeAre105 Podcast: The Story Behind the Show

WeAre105 is a podcast created by GEMS, and it has been around for a while. But how did it all start? What’s the story behind the podcast?

The idea for WeAre105 came from Mr. Noonan, who was inspired by one of his sixth-grade students (at the time), Torre Ridgeway. Torre had frequently brought up the idea of starting a podcast, and after some convincing, Mr. Noonan decided to take the plunge. He began discussing ideas and eventually purchased the necessary equipment to get started.

As the podcast progressed, the students became more comfortable with the process. They gained confidence with each episode and started to showcase their personalities through their voices. This made it easier to create more episodes and develop the show over time.

However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. One of the main challenges was staying organized, as none of them had any experience with podcasting before. Choosing topics to discuss was another hurdle. In fact, Mr. Noonan admitted that he used AI to help brainstorm some ideas, including the name of the podcast. After some thought, he settled on WeAre105 to represent their classroom.
