If you didn’t know, the 7th grade basketball team won the division championship recently against creekview, the final score being 48-46, it was a great close game, Tony Russo being a standout player, hitting a huge three pointer that won us the game, “I just had a lot of confidence in that shot, and it went in.” is what went through tony’s thoughts during that final shot.

The 7th grade team played a great game and so did creekview. The students were very energetic despite there not being very many people there, even the players agreed that it was still very loud.

Now after winning that game, the 7th grade basketball team now gets a “Co-League Champions” banner hung up in the gym.

Granite Oaks is a very tough opponent, “They play a lot of press.” said Tony Russo, their goal is to pass through the press, it’s difficult and they will need a lot of passing to each other, with takes a lot of pre-planning.

They are very happy with their performance. “It’s our first year playing school basketball.” Tony Russo reported. And I’m sure they’re very happy with their first year playing school basketball because it is a very difficult and competitive league.

In the game beforehand, it was also an important game to qualify for the division championship, they faced off against Eich, and they won by quite a lot, the final score being 53-25 for the panthers.  

In conclusion, this is a very good year for the Glen Edwards basketball team even if they do not win against Granite Oaks because they still have won their division, and that’s very hard to do.
