Over the weekend of March 22nd, a swarm of honey bees was discovered by a custodial staff member in B Hall at Glen Edwards Middle School.
Mrs. Fernandez was promptly notified by the head custodian about the situation. She reached out to local beekeepers, who confirmed that the bees were likely traveling to a new location and were resting during their journey. To ensure the safety of staff and students, Mrs. Fernandez closed off that area of the campus until the bees could be removed. The beekeeper arrived by 9 a.m. to begin relocating the bees.
