
1. How many years have you taught before you taught here?
A: “This is my first year teaching at Glen Edwards. Last year was my first year teaching and I taught 5th grade on the Air Force Base in Wheatland.”
2. Why did you choose to teach at Glen Edwards?
A: “I chose to teach at Glen Edwards because of the community and expectations the school had for its students and staff. Glen Edwards stood out to me because of its professional, positive, and productive atmosphere.”
3. What is a goal you want all of your classes to meet?
A: “My goal for all my classes is to become critical thinkers. Being critical thinkers help students develop skills that are essential to being successful.”
4. What is your favorite part about teaching?
A: “My favorite part about teaching is being creative and being able to do hands-on activities. I love to learn new things and see student growth.”
5. What inspired you to become a teacher?
A: “There are many reasons why I became a teacher. I come from a family of educators and I want to make a positive difference in the lives of my students and help them reach their full potential.”
6. What are some ways you encourage students to consider the impact of science on the environment?
A: “Some ways I encourage students to consider the impact of science on the environment is by connecting to real-world issues like pollution, water quality, and deforestation. Having interactive simulations to utilize tools that allow students to simulate the effects of environmental changes, like climate change models or pollution.”
