On April 22, an electricity issue affected much of the town, including Glen Edwards. Lights flickered, digital clocks stopped working, and the Wi-Fi was down. The outage was possibly caused by a burst, potentially involving a bird, though there could be other explanations. Some areas even experienced power issues the night before. PG&E responded quickly to begin repairs.
Unfortunately, during this time, students didn’t have access to the internet and were unable to complete any online work. With the digital clocks out, the school bells couldn’t ring, which may have caused confusion about when to get to class. However, it was also the teachers’ responsibility to keep track of time and help students transition between classes.
The locker rooms were the only area that took longer to fix. Although it was an unexpected overnight problem, everything is now up and running again.
