Starbucks recently rolled out with their Iced Energy drinks, which are available in stores for those looking for a quick energy boost with a refreshing twist. They come with the decision between three different flavors: Watermelon Twist, Blueberry Lemonade, and Tropical Peach. I haven’t seen anyone with these at school or out, so I decided to try them.
I first tried the Blueberry Lemonade. I wasn’t expecting much because I’ve never really liked energy drinks that much. At the first sip, it didn’t taste anything like blueberry, but it was pretty good. You can definitely taste the lemonade more than the blueberry. Overall, I would rate it a 7/10. Besides the very strong “acid” taste, it’s okay. The more you drink it, the better it tastes.
Next, I tried the Tropical Peach. The peach flavor was very strong. It honestly tasted like when you drink the juice from one of those peach fruit cups. I like the taste of peaches, but I think since it also had a taste of straight “acid,” It wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. I would rate it 6/10.
And lastly, I tried the Watermelon Twist. After trying all the other flavors, I wasn’t expecting much. And it met my low expectations. It didn’t remind me of watermelon, and it just wasn’t good. I don’t have much to say about it, but it definitely wasn’t my favorite. I rate it 5/10.
Overall, Starbucks’ Ice Energy drinks weren’t really worth the hunt I went on to find them. I literally couldn’t find them anywhere, and they weren’t being sold at Starbucks itself, until my mom eventually found them for me. I’ve never really been a huge fan of energy drinks. I usually just take a sip and I’m done, so even if I did really like these, I probably wouldn’t keep buying them. I feel like these aren’t worth buying, so I don’t recommend them unless you really like energy drinks. I would much rather just buy normal Starbucks drinks.
