The 8th grade volleyball team kicked off their day with a win against Eich in their first match. The first set was really close, with both teams battling it out on the court. The Panthers had some amazing defensive plays and powerful hits that kept the game intense. The team communicated well and kept the ball in play, managing to edge out Eich and win the first set despite a few mistakes along the way.
Later in the day, the Panthers faced off against Twelve Bridges, and things didn’t go as well in this match. Twelve Bridges came out strong, with tough serves and a solid offense that the Panthers struggled to match. While there were some great moments—like a few strong spikes and long rallies—Twelve Bridges’ consistent play made it tough for the Panthers to catch up. Despite their best efforts, the Panthers couldn’t pull off the win.
The 8th grade flag football team also had a busy day, starting with a win against Olympus. From the very beginning, the Panthers were fired up. They played great defense, making some big stops and forcing turnovers. On offense, they executed some awesome runs and connected on a couple of big passes that helped them take control of the game. The Panthers kept up their energy and focus all the way to the final whistle, securing the win. It was an exciting victory that had the team feeling confident and ready for their next challenge.
In their second game, the Panthers went up against Twelve Bridges, and it was a much tougher match. Twelve Bridges came out with a strong offensive game, and the Panthers had trouble finding their rhythm on offense. Despite some good defensive plays and a couple of nice runs, the Panthers couldn’t quite catch up. Missed flags and defensive breakdowns allowed Twelve Bridges to score, and the Panthers weren’t able to recover. They kept fighting until the end, showing a lot of heart and sportsmanship.
