Our school offers diverse opportunities for creative expression, from crafting promotional materials and broadcasting events to documenting memories in the yearbook. Students also showcase their talents through art and design, making our school a vibrant hub of creativity and innovation.
Recently, we’ve been planning a “Shadow a Panther” day for our school, in collaboration with the nearby elementary schools. We’re very excited, and our leadership team is well-prepared for it as well.
I spoke with our main promo director, Mr. Noonan, about how electives are currently organized, and he said, “I think all the elective teachers continuously try to evolve their classes to keep things fresh. Some years, we even discuss offering new classes, but it depends on staffing and student interest. Believe it or not, there’s a decent number of students who don’t fill out the forms. If a student doesn’t fill out the form, they won’t have any say in what they can take next year. Between seeing the promos, reading the course descriptions, and having over two weeks to make their final selections, I hope we get every student filling out their forms.”
This process ensures that our elective offerings are responsive to student interests and keeps the curriculum exciting and relevant. With such a wide range of options, from media production to fine arts, students are encouraged to explore their passions and try new things. By participating in this process, students not only help shape their high school experience but also play an active role in the ongoing growth and innovation of our school community.
We’re very excited about the new group of students coming to our school! With the addition of more programs and electives, there’s a lot of individual interest for students to explore and excel in.
