This often occurs when individuals or groups challenge a book, leading to reviews by schools, libraries, or local authorities. While some believe it protects certain values, others argue it limits free expression and intellectual freedom.
Walkers Crossing’s Cover
One book I found that got banned from the school library was called walkers crossing. It was a book I found in the library a month ago but just last week we were talking about banned books so I brought it up. After I brought it up to the principal it got banned a day after I found it. Walkers Crossing can offend some people with the cover of the book, on the cover there is a K.K.K member, Confederate battle flag, Nazi flag, and The Star David flag. KKK Member: A person belonging to the Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacist hate group that uses violence and intimidation, especially against African Americans. Confederate Battle Flag: A flag used by the Confederate States during the American Civil War, associated with the defense of slavery and often linked to racism and white supremacy today. Nazi Flag: The flag used by Nazi Germany, featuring a swastika on a red background. It symbolizes fascism, anti-Semitism, and the atrocities of the Holocaust under Hitler’s regime. Star of David: A six-pointed star, symbolizing Judaism and Jewish identity, and featured on the flag of Israel. It represents faith, heritage, and unity for Jewish people.
