Lady Gaga’s New Album Review
Lady Gaga recently came out with a new album called, “Harlequin”. The first song I listened to was “Good Morning”. The song gives off vibes of music from the 1930’s and the 1940’s. The quality is really good and is interesting to listen to, it also has an upbeat tone to it. Overall, I give this song a 5/5 stars. Overall, I give this song a 5/5 stars. Next, I listened to “Get Happy”. The beginning of the song is dreamy. It almost sounds like a Disney song. The song then changes the music that sounds it came from the 1930’s, but more upbeat, just like the other song. Lady Gaga sings in a cheerful voice as if she only looks on the good side of life.
The third song I heard was called “The Joker”. Since this album is used in the new Joker movie, this song talks about ‘a joker’. She says that there is always a joker or a jester in the pack. Gaga says that people laugh at this joker or jester whenever he/ or she is down. Gaga then reveals that she is the joker. The way Gaga sings sounds villainous and confident. The fourth song I listened to was “Smile”. The music sounds more like soft and slow jazz. It sounds like the type of song that a fancy restaurant would play. Gaga says to smile even though you feel down and you’ll be fine.
The fifth song I heard was “Oh, When The Saints”. The song had a slow beginning, but started to speed up and turned into a pop song. I really liked how the song changed its tune at the start. One part of the song that I didn’t enjoy was when the chorus ended and the electric guitar started playing, but it sounded out of tune and a little annoying. The next song is called “World On a String”. The music sounds slow and romantic as Gaga is explaining that she is in love.
In the songs that I’ve listened to so far, it sounds like Gaga is trying to tell us that life is a beautiful thing and that we should be grateful that we were granted with life and things to live for. Another song in the album was called “Happy Mistake”. This song is more acoustic and the song is more slow. What I like about this song is the guitar because it sounds really different from all the other songs. Gaga says if she can pick up all of the broken pieces, then she could have a happy mistake. I listened to the rest of the album and the songs sound the same. Overall, I liked the Harlequin album, but I think that it’s not her best.
