As we move forward, our 5-Star Program is making significant improvements. Here’s what’s coming! We asked Mrs. White about her perspective and timing for the 5-Star Program.
We started asking her about the upcoming updates at the beginning of last week. The staff are trying to figure out what food to serve this year because some new laws have been passed. We also requested feedback about the student store, so some of the items might be different from last year.
The 5-Star Program began after seeing other schools implement it. It helps teachers keep track of students when they leave classrooms, which really improves school safety. Additionally, having the student store allows kids to use their points for good behavior, which is a great idea for everyone.
After interviewing some students, we gathered their thoughts on the 5-Star Program. We spoke with Adalynn Whitehead, who said, “I think 5-Star is a smart and easy app that helps students remember not to be in the bathroom for ten minutes, and it helps teachers know who’s out. I don’t like that the bathroom pass is only four minutes long because if you’re on the second floor, you have to walk all the way downstairs, go to the bathroom, and then walk all the way back up in under four minutes. I like that there is a pass for almost everything you need to do on campus. That’s my opinion about 5-Star.”
As the staff looks into it, we’ll keep you updated on the upcoming improvements to the 5-Star Program!
