We are pleased to announce that our leadership team has expanded to include two classes this year. We asked Ms. Mullen and Mr. Ogaz how they feel about this change.
I started by asking Ms. Mullen what she has noticed about leadership over the years. She responded that our dances have gotten bigger, so we no longer hold them in the Spirit Center; instead, we’ve moved them to the gym.
In terms of leadership changes, she mentioned that her staff now has different groups for Spirit Week, activities, and dances. She also explained that they decided to create two leadership classes this year to involve more students, as there was significant interest in leadership.
They discovered that Mr. Ogaz had experience in leadership, making him a great addition as the second teacher. He shared his perspective: “I am really excited to be working with Ms. Mullen. We help each other with things I didn’t expect. When I was at my past school, they offered me the job.”
I also asked a newer student, Peyton Smith, about her thoughts on the upcoming year. She said she is most excited about preparing for the dances and making posters.
In conclusion, investing in leadership improvements not only strengthens team dynamics and boosts morale but also cultivates a culture of accountability and growth.
