The end of the school year is near, and many people are very impatient to get out and hang-out with friends, do summer sports, or end of the year activities. Here are a few helpful tips for ending the school year on a good note.
Avoid staying up late and doom scrolling or playing video games-
Getting a good night’s rest is very important, especially if you’re finishing up your SBAC tests. The blue light can damage your eyes, and you’ll need glasses. You can be very tired when you wake up, and you won’t be able to focus on any final tests or projects.
Make a fun summer bucket list-
This is a more fun tip. Making a list of things you want to do in the summer can help give you a boost to not sitting in bed rotting all summer. You can put fun things on your list including taking a picture everyday till the first day of school so you have a little collage of your entire summer.
Clean out your backpack or P.E. locker-
Cleaning out everything before any important test is very important, especially if you have a study guide or any important notes you want to keep safe. Keeping your supplies organized is an important aspect of keeping track of things, whether that means highlighting your work, or having a dozen folders with your class names on it.
Keeping routines somewhat consistent-
Keeping any routine that you have flowing is important to having a good morning or any good plans. Whether it’s a morning routine, nighttime routine, or plans with friends, don’t abandon them.
Create a countdown calender-
Creating a calendar, counting down the days until summer arrives and the fun begins can also help you get bumped for the heat, pool, or any plans you might have planned for the summer.
In conclusion, getting ready for summer, whatever the method you use, can be useful for the year to come.
