Last weekend, I went to the Cinemark movie theater at the Roseville Galleria to watch Michael. As a Michael Jackson fan, I really enjoyed the movie because it showed his life from childhood to adulthood in a powerful and emotional way. One thing that stood out to me the most was how accurately Jaafar Jackson acted and sounded like Michael Jackson. In my opinion, the movie had very few flaws and did an excellent job telling his story.
The plot followed Michael’s journey from his childhood rise to fame through his years as one of the biggest performers in the world. Throughout the movie, he struggled with his controlling and greedy father while trying to follow his own dreams. Michael eventually makes the difficult decision to leave the Jackson 5, the group he performed in with his brothers, because he realizes his talent is unique and deserves to stand on its own. By the end of the movie, he finally gains control of his own life and breaks free from his father’s influence as his fame continues to grow.
The movie was perfectly paced and revealed many details about Michael Jackson’s life that some people may not have known before. It was especially impressive because Jaafar Jackson had never acted before. His ability to copy Michael’s voice, movements, and personality was incredible. Watching the movie changed my perspective on Michael Jackson and showed how much he persevered through difficult times to achieve the success he always dreamed of.
One of the best parts of the movie was the way it recreated Michael’s music and performances. The dance and concert scenes were exciting and felt almost like watching the real Michael Jackson perform live. The costumes, choreography, and music were all outstanding, and they highlighted just how talented he truly was. The movie was not only about his personal life, but also about how he became one of the most influential performers in music history.
The film also focused on Michael as a person, not just as a celebrity. It showed moments where he felt stressed, misunderstood, and overwhelmed by fame. Seeing those struggles made me feel sympathy for him, but it was also inspiring because he never stopped working hard or chasing his dreams. Overall, the movie helped me understand that Michael Jackson was more than just a famous singer. He was a person with real emotions, struggles, and goals that he fought hard to achieve.
