Caffeine has been effectively banned since the 2022-2023 school year. This is because students were bringing energy drinks to school, and the staff didn’t want these types of drinks on campus.
There are numerous health concerns associated with young adults consuming energy drinks. They can experience anxiety and jitters from drinking too many, and they might become so accustomed to them that they develop an addiction and experience withdrawal symptoms when they stop.
I interviewed Ms. Palace, and here’s what she said:
“If students consume too many energy drinks, their hearts can fail, and they may pass out. This actually happened to one of my own children. He drank too many energy drinks, and we had to take him to the hospital.”
She also added, “While students may feel fine when they initially consume caffeine, later on, they start to feel tired and sluggish.”
“Energy drinks are not healthy for anyone, but students tend to not know their own limits.”
In conclusion, it’s clear that the school does not recommend any type or form of energy drink, as they can lead to an unhealthy lifestyle.
