If you have ever passed by the house at 455 H Street in Lincoln, CA, you might think it is just an ordinary home. But many people do not know that inside is a small Mexican restaurant that many locals enjoy going to. Here is my review of this restaurant.
I ordered one of the most popular meals on their menu: the carne asada fries. Carne asada is a type of thinly sliced beef. I ordered mine with everything, which included the meat, French fries, sour cream, cheese, guacamole, and pico de gallo. I got my food pretty fast—within 5–8 minutes after ordering.
The meal itself cost around $11, and a bottle of soda cost about $3. When I got my food, it looked very fresh, with golden crispy French fries, fresh carne asada, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and pico de gallo. Every single bite had all the flavors. The beef tasted very well-seasoned with a smoky grilled flavor that really stood out. I also got an orange Jarritos to drink, which was also good.
The best part had to be the French fries. Even though the fries did get a little soggy, they still tasted great because they didn’t lose any flavor. The guacamole adds a fresh taste, and the cheese helps mix all the flavors together.
However, the portion size of this meal is pretty big—easily enough food for two people to enjoy. This is a great restaurant if you are hungry for some Mexican food and fries. The carne asada fries at Taqueria Gonzalez are amazing and definitely deserve a strong 4 out of 5 stars. Taqueria Gonzalez is a great place if you want delicious Mexican food that will leave you feeling happy and full.
