“I have been teaching for 6 years.”

What is a goal you want all of your classes to achieve?

“I want all of my students to find a part of history in the world that interests them.”

What inspired you to become a teacher?

“I knew I wanted to work with kids in some capacity but I wasn’t sure what career. I enjoy learning with my students so teaching became a perfect fit.”

What is your favorite part of teaching?

“Being able to do the extras for students such as projects, activities and the East Coast trip.”

Did you teach before you taught at gems? If so, where did you teach and how long? 

“I taught Sophomores and Juniors at a high school in Sacramento for my student teaching year.”

Why did you choose to teach at GEMS?

“I knew middle school needs strong teachers so I gave this age a chance and don’t regret my choice.”

What are your favorite hobbies outside of school?

“Anything to do with animals or the outdoors!”

What is something most students don’t know about you?

“I was born on April Fools day.”
