If you didn’t know, a new Wings of Fire graphic novel arrived on November 4, 2025. This book is a graphic adaptation of the original Darkstalker Legends novel, which was released on June 28, 2016.

The graphic novel features three main characters with special abilities: Darkstalker, Clearsight, and Fathom.

Darkstalker is a villain who manipulated Clearsight and Fathom to gain more control. Although he claimed to want peace, his ego and unchecked power twisted his actions toward cruelty and domination. In this story, we see him slowly transform from a well-meaning dragon into one of the most dangerous villains in the Wings of Fire series.

Clearsight is a NightWing and Darkstalker’s soulmate. She is manipulated by him, and her prophetic powers are overridden by Darkstalker’s magic, allowing her to see only the “brightest and happiest” futures while blocking her ability to perceive potential dangers or darker outcomes.

Fathom is a SeaWing and one of the first animus SeaWings in his tribe. He is also a prince, though he later becomes viewed as “dangerous” because of his animus powers. This fear stems from the legacy of his grandfather, Albatross—another animus SeaWing who became a villain after overusing his magic.

Although the trio begins happily together, everything changes when Darkstalker uses too much of his power for evil, believing his actions are justified. In the end, Clearsight and Fathom must work together to put him into a permanent enchanted sleep, using Fathom’s animus powers and Clearsight’s help as bait.

If you enjoy fictional graphic novels or stories about dragons, this graphic novel is perfect for you. I give it a rating of 5/5 star.  I truly enjoyed reading it.
