A new terror has arrived with Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, leaving fans wondering if the movie was worth watching and if it truly deserved a sequel.

The movie introduces Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt, one of the main characters, Elizabeth Lail as Vanessa Shelly, and Piper Rubio as Abby. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is based on the video game Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, created by Scott Cawthon. However, the movie follows its own storyline rather than strictly sticking to the game’s lore, so viewers should not expect it to match the game exactly.

There are several plot twists throughout the film. One of the main antagonists is Charlotte, played by Audrey Lynn-Marie, who develops a deep hatred for parents after feeling ignored by them. Another antagonist is Michael Afton, who continues William Afton’s legacy.

Charlotte possesses the Marionette after being murdered by William Afton while trying to save a child. After her death, she controls the Toy animatronics and attempts to kill parents, believing they all deserve to die because they did not listen to or believe her. She also manipulates Abby in an attempt to carry out her plan.

Personally, I loved almost everything about the movie, including the animatronics, Easter eggs, and background designs. The only downside was that some of the jump scares were predictable, which took away from the suspense. I was also disappointed that Toy Chica received more attention than the other animatronics.

Overall, the movie excelled in many areas, including the animatronics, acting, set design, and sound. While the plot twist was not very surprising for me since I guessed Michael Afton’s role early on, it did not ruin the experience.

I give Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. If you enjoy FNAF or horror movies, this film is definitely worth watching. I recommend seeing the first movie beforehand, as this one is a sequel and ends with a cliffhanger.
