Zoos might look fun to visit, but imagine if someone took you away from your home and family and made you live in a cage forever just so people could stare at you. That is what happens to animals in zoos, and it is not fair because they deserve to be free, not trapped. There are many reasons for this. Animals in zoos often show signs of boredom and stress. Zoo animals can also escape, which can be dangerous. In addition, zoos are not very effective at helping endangered animals or protecting their habitats.

Many animals that are kept in zoos look sad or depressed. They walk back and forth because they have nothing else to do. They cannot run freely like they would in the wild because they are trapped and do not have a choice.
