Most sports are played on courts or fields, but where do you go if you want to play on ice? Skatetown Ice Arena is the perfect place. It features two NHL-sized ice rinks and a total of eight locker rooms, making it a great facility for a variety of ice sports.
Skatetown Ice Arena in Roseville offers nearly every type of ice sport, including hockey, figure skating, and curling. They even provide lessons for beginners who want to learn how to skate. Overall, their programs are well-organized and enjoyable.
Learn to Skate
The Learn to Skate program includes one 30-minute class per week. Depending on your level, classes are usually held on weekends, where you learn new skills step by step. Instructors are helpful and will give you individual attention if you are struggling with something. I would rate this program 9/10.
Curling
While there is limited information available besides the schedule, curling still looks like a fun and unique sport offered at the arena. Based on that, I would give it an 8/10.
Figure Skating
Figure skating involves performing skills and routines that are judged based on technique and presentation. While it is unclear if the arena hosts competitions, they do offer freestyle sessions where skaters can practice while music plays. I would rate this program 8.5/10.
Hockey
Hockey is one of the strongest programs at Skatetown. They offer multiple levels, including middle school, high school, travel teams, and 16U teams. The arena has clearly invested a lot into its hockey program, making it one of the best options available. I would rate it 9.5/10.
