The girls basketball team is having a strong and successful season, showing determination, teamwork, and steady improvement with each game they play. With several wins so far, the girls basketball team continues to work hard in practice and push themselves to improve on the court.
Ava C, an 8th grader on the girls basketball team, says the season has been going well overall. “Our season has been going pretty good and we have won most of our games,” she shared. Ava has focused on developing her skills and contributing to the girls basketball team’s success throughout the season.
Like many athletes, Ava has faced challenges along the way. “My biggest challenge has been getting through injuries,” she explained. Injuries can make any season difficult, but she has stayed determined and worked hard to overcome those setbacks. One accomplishment she is especially proud of is how much she has improved her shooting. “I am proud of getting better at shooting throughout the season,” Ava said. Her dedication during practices has helped her grow more confident during games.
Seventh grader Paige H, another member of the girls basketball team, has also made noticeable progress this year. She has worked hard on strengthening important basketball fundamentals. “I have gotten better at shooting free throws and dribbling down the court,” Paige said. Improving these skills has helped her become more confident when handling the ball and stepping up to the free-throw line.
When asked about her favorite moment of the season, Paige quickly pointed to a big achievement for the girls basketball team. “Winning our first game,” she said. That first victory gave the girls basketball team excitement and motivation to keep improving as the season continued.
Looking ahead, Paige has clear goals for herself. “Making every shot and passing better,” she said. She hopes to continue sharpening her accuracy and becoming a stronger passer to help the girls basketball team score even more points.
With players like Ava and Paige putting in consistent effort, the girls basketball team continues to grow stronger each game. Their commitment, resilience, and positive attitudes are helping make this season a memorable one.
