If you’ve ever been in the school office and felt a little nervous or confused, chances are you’ve been greeted by the kind and welcoming presence of Mrs. Biagi. She is one of the staff members who works hard every day to help keep the school running smoothly for all students.
For Mrs. Biagi, joining the office staff wasn’t a difficult decision. She explained that the opportunity came at the right time: “I started working at a middle school because a position opened up and I really wanted an office job.” What began as a simple opportunity quickly turned into something she truly loves.
One of the first things people notice about Mrs. Biagi is how much she cares about the people around her. She shared, “The part of my job I love the most is making students feel safe and working with amazing staff.” Whether she’s checking someone in late, helping a student call home, or answering multiple questions at once, she always finds a way to make the office feel like a safe and supportive place.
Working at the same school her child attends makes her job even more meaningful. “I love working at a school that my child attends. I think they like it too. It shapes my experience by wanting to make the school a great place for my child and other children just like mine.” That personal connection inspires her to help create a positive and welcoming environment for every student.
Even though the school office may look calm from the outside, there is a lot happening behind the scenes, especially when it comes to being an attendance clerk. Mrs. Biagi explained, “I think most people don’t realize how much work goes into an attendance clerk. It’s a lot of work, but I really do enjoy it and love working with the office staff and teachers.” From communicating with families to tracking absences, her job takes focus, organization, and a lot of patience.
Even on busy days, she is excited to keep learning and improving. “I hope to grow in my role by really getting to know the students and getting a really good office routine down.” Her goal is simple but powerful: build strong relationships and help the office run even more smoothly.
Students often think of office staff as just teachers or administrators, but staff members like Mrs. Biagi are the quiet heroes who support everyone, including students, families, and staff. Her dedication, kindness, and steady presence make a difference every single day, even when most people don’t notice.
So, if you ever walk by the office, take a moment to say hello. You’ll be greeted with a smile from someone who truly loves being a part of our school community.
